The 2009 Reston Youth Club SUMMER GAMES BASKETBALL  ENRICHMENT PROGRAM is set to tip-off on June 22nd.  This highly acclaimed, community-based program, combines competitive league play with community service requirements for younger-aged participants.  The RYC Summer Games is noted for its commitment to delinquency-prevention and community service:  with outreach to less-advantaged youth, “send-a-kid-to-b’ball camp” scholarships, and perhaps most importantly, in our long-term commitment to provide constructive alternatives for at-risk youth in our community.

     This year the summer league program will comprise seven divisions, with an expected five hundred boys and girls, ages 5 – 18, participating. 

     OUR GOAL IS TO GIVE EVERY KID WHO WANTS TO PLAY, THE CHANCE TO PLAY.  CORPORATE SPONSORS MAKE THE DIFFERENCE!!  Last season we sponsored more than 100 kids through individual and corporate donations. This year our goal is to raise $10,000.00 to meet an even greater anticipated need. Here are three sponsorship options:

     1.  Team Sponsorship for $750.00.  Team sponsors receive recognition and publicity throughout the summer, with corporate logos on team shirts, coverage in local media, and in the tournament program.

     2.  Send-a-Kid-to-B’ball Camp Sponsorship for $250.00.  To benefit deserving youth who would not ordinarily have the opportunity for a summer camp experience.

     3.  RYC Booster / Tournament Sponsorship for $100.00.  RYC Club sponsors gain recognition through the sponsorship of the Summer Games Tournament and other constructive RYC programs throughout the year.

     Your support of the Summer Games is important to this community.  Its value is not measured so much in dollars and cents, but rather in terms of development and prevention.  Believe me, your support will make a big difference in the lives of kids, and in the life of our community.
